3 Great Goal Setting Tips


At the beginning of the year most of us think of goals we would like to achieve. Unfortunately, that is usually as far as we get.  Christmas holidays end, life gets back to normal, we get busy and before we know it our goals are nothing more than a fleeting wish.  We go about doing the same old things day after day whilst somehow expecting a different outcome from the year before. 

There is a saying “If you want something to change, then something has to change!”  In other words, you have to change what you do if you want a different outcome.  If you want to succeed in attaining you goals this year you will have to put some time and effort in so here are 3 tips to help you get started.

1.     Write them down in a clear, specific and organized way.
2.     Read them as often as you can.  Daily is ideal but at least once per week.
3.     Make a list of what you will need to do to achieve them and do something every week.

Try putting your written goals somewhere easily accessible whether it be stuck on the steering wheel of your car, on the door of your fridge or typed into your phone.  Look at them as often as possible and  remember why these goals were important to you.

There is no doubt that setting Goals has the potential to transform your year however it is not easy. If it were, we would all do it.   Achieving your goals will take determination, discipline and dedication.   The choice is yours.  What will you become and achieve in 2013?
